How to Make a Research Proposal

Watch this video thoroughly, which we consider very useful for a better understanding of research designs.
The video was really helpful for me to understand more about research. I liked the way he explained all the points that research must have to be good. Maybe this is not part of the topic: I enjoyed their pronunciation, that is different to ours. In conclusion I can say that the video was good, and I am completely sure that I reinforced my knowledge about research.
The video was interesting and helpful for us because we are going to star our thesis. The accent was difficult for me in some words because I did not understand what they were saying, I had to listen twice so that I could understand. I liked the video because I could understand a little more about the different kinds of research. I consider that we should watch it every time we have a doubt or we forget how to do something.
Wow, as Estefania said, it was difficult to undestard some parts of the conference because of the their accent. Regarding to research, I could understand that we have to choose very clearly what to do and how to do the research in order to have more specific steps to follow and face lees problems or difficulties. This is a very helpful video because it will help us to clear our doubts about planning our research proposal. It helped me to have a better undesrstanding of the concepts of research, types of research , the origins of research problems and the research designs. I liked the image that the researcher explained about the methods, techniques and tools. I consider this video can help me thourgh the process of my research proposal elaboration.
My gosh! Really unbelievable! :D It was an interesting video. Although it is hard to understand because of the language, the video explain clearly the steps that students should follow in order to make a research proposal. Now, I can realize that making a research proposal is not as easy as it seems. We need to think carefully on what we want to do and establish a clear goal in order to have success with our thesis.
This video is awesome, helpful and useful for us since we are going to start working with our research proposal. And I like the way how the man explains the topic. Although, sometimes it was a little hard to understand some words because of his accent.Nevertheless, the video explains very clear all the aspects that involves a research, the way how we will make it so I strongly believe that this information is going to be essential to help me through the process of my thesis.
I personally think that this video is really helpful for us, because we are starting to do our thesis. and we do not have experience doing a research and because of that we have many doubts and we do not how to start.
This video helped me to understand more about what to do and how to do my research. I am right now thinking about my research and all that I need to do,so I am trying to plan what to do and to follow the steps of the video. For instance, to think about the title of my research, the type of research and so on.
It is great to have this kind of video because it is like a guideline to make a proposal and it is better for us because we are starting to get involved in the research world. I liked the way it was explained although I couldn't hear some words because of the accent. Now,I have an idea about the points to consider at the moment of starting a proposal, also I realized that it implies much hard working, much endeavor, perseverance and dedication.In a nutshell, it was nice.
This video is useful and awesome because it gives you a clear understanding about a research proposal step by step. Also, it was great because their accent emphasize the words so it was easy to understand what they was saying.
In the video, there are many important things that I want to point out that will help us to understand how to do a research proposal.
What is research?
- It is a systematic process of investigation into a problem. - Original not repetition of something already know. - It attempts to answer why and how - Expand the knowledge, it means to go further with the phenomenon that no one already known.
They talk about to types of research that are qualitative and quantitative research, both have to have these characteristics:
Describe: How the things are. Explain: Why the things are the way they are. Predict: Phenomenon and relationships.
In the video, the suggest steps in order to do a good research problem, and those are:
- The kind of problem:
it refers to identify and analyze the problem that we are going to study if it is suitale or not and also to know what is the problem about in order to define what are the techniques, tools and methods that we are goint to use.
- The previous research you have done:
In order to do a good research problem it is helpful you to do a previous research in order to identify the aspects of the problem in order not to have setbacks.
Theories:
You have to support your research and in order to do it you have to look for theories that could support what you are doing.
Writing a research problem:
- Express clearly to be able to undertake the research. - As a testable hypothesis. - As an exploratory question.
The most significant for me about the video was the components of a research proposal. I hope this review could help us to understand it better.
Title:
-Precise and accurate - Unambiguos - Avoid extremely long titles
Introduction:
- Orient the readers towards the topic. - Explain the importance and relevance of the topic. - Justifies the choice of the topic.
Statement of the problem:
- Sometimes part of the introduction. - Further clarifies the intent of the researcher. - Presented as hypothesis or exploratory question.
Procedures of the study:
- Decide on the method, techniques and tools to use. - Describe how you will gather data for the study. - Explain the statistical methods to be used with rationale.
Appendice:
- Bibligraphy - Tentative chapter outline - Any other information
I really like this video because i think it is very useful for us who want to start a investigation . well , now i know more about how to make a research, also i like the way they explained the points that a research should have . i 'm sure that it is gonna be useful to everyone of us . on the other hand let me tell you that , i love listening different english accents, that's why i enjoyed watching the video .in short , the information that those masters researchers shared us was very important.
Great video! I loved it! it was clear enough to understand the complexity of starting a research from scratch. I swear I'll watch it every 5 minutes while doing my proposal until I'm sure I followed every step.
I loved this video because it is really helpful to us. We are going to do a research so I feel that it helps us to have a better understandig about what research is. I liked the way that people explained the steps and the parts to realize a research. The woman mentioned that is normal to have troubles during research's development and it makes me feel good. Moreover, I feel that this video explains in a cleary way all the features in an investigation, Now, after watching the video, I can take into account every single step and repeat the video if I have doubts about some points. Also, it was interesting to listen another kind of accent. I thought that it will be difficult to understand but it was nice.
Very interesting and helpful. This video is like our bible for our class and for our research. It detailed explain the steps we need to follow in order to do an excellent research. Also talking about the accent. It is also helpful for us, due to the fact that we can practice our listening skill and have another perspective about speaking and listening.
Well, I really think this video will help us to understand better all the things about reaserching. Specially the things that are not so easy to comprehend because most of us are new in this area. I could notice Joan simplified the whole video on what he understood, thank you Joan for bothering.

Some of the doubts that I had are clearer now and that for me is great. In short, the video was really helpful and I liked to hear a different English accent because that help us to entrain our brain.
I have been trying to upload my comment since three days ago... All i want to say is that i found the video very interesting and helpful for us. It is important to say that this video is well-explained and very detailed and that is what we need. We don't have the experience to write a research so this kind of videos with very detailed information is like gold for all of us.
